Southeastern Bear Lake County in southeastern Idaho...
* Until 245 PM MDT Monday
* Emergency management and the public reported flooding in the Bear
Lake area due to snowmelt and runoff. Widespread flooding across
fields and low lying areas continues near Pegram, Ovid, Saint
Charles and Fish Haven. Rising ground water has resulted in
numerous flooded basements across the advisory area, particularly
in Ovid and Paris. Water has flooded secondary roads in and around
Pegram, Geneva, and between Bloomington and Saint Charles.
Flooding has also surrounded at least one home near Dingle.
Additional lowland rainfall is expected tonight and Monday which
will likely exacerbate ongoing flooding conditions.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.
Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
