A BAND OF MODERATE SNOW WILL MOVE NORTHEAST AN OVERSPREAD AREAS
FROM TIPTON IOWA...TO THE QUAD CITIES...AND TO KEWANEE ILLINOIS
THROUGH 6 AM CST. THE COMBINATION OF WET FALLING SNOW AND STRONG
WEST WINDS GUSTING UP TO 35 MPH WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES DOWN UNDER
A MILE AT TIMES. THESE AREAS MAY GET A HALF INCH...UP TO AN INCH
OF SNOW ACCUMULATION BY 7 AM CST. PAVEMENT TEMPERATURES STILL
ABOVE FREEZING WILL MELT SOME OF THE INITIAL SNOWFALL...BUT SOME
SLUSH IS STILL EXPECTED TO ACCUMULATE ON THE ROADS AND MAKE FOR
LOCALIZED SLICK SPOTS THROUGH 7 AM CST.

AREAS FROM WASHINGTON IOWA...TO BURLINGTON AND MONMOUTH ILLINOIS
MAYE GET AN ADDITIONAL HALF INCH OF SNOWFALL BY 630 AM CST AND
ALREADY SLUSHY SNOW COVER ON THE ROADS WILL MAKE FOR SLICK SPOTS
IN AREAS THAT ARE UNTREATED OR UNPLOWED YET.

THROUGH LATE MORNING...THEN DIMINISH TO LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS OR
FLURRIES BY MID AFTERNOON.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...1 TO 3 INCHES.

* WINDS...WEST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.

* IMPACTS...AS TEMPERATURES FALL WELL BELOW FREEZING...ROADS MAY
BECOME SNOW AND ICE COVERED AND SLIPPERY...ESPECIALLY DURING THE
AFTERNOON. LOCALIZED BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL ALSO CAUSE
REDUCED AND RAPIDLY CHANGING VISIBILITIES...ESPECIALLY ON RURAL
AND OPEN NORTH/SOUTH ROADWAYS.
