The East Fork Des Moines River near Algona, or From Buffalo Creek
near Burt...to Lotts Creek near Livermore.
* Until Thursday afternoon.
* At 8:15 PM Thursday the stage was 16.9 feet, or 0.1 feet below
Flood Stage.
* Flood Stage is 17.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...rise to Flood Stage late this evening. Continue rising
to 19.3 feet, or 2.3 feet above Flood Stage, early Sunday morning.
Then begin falling and go below Flood Stage Thursday afternoon.
* Impact...At 19.0 feet, Water affects US 169 south of Algona. US 169
near Saint Joseph will be cut off. Sections of US 18 east of US
169 are threatened.
