Including the cities of Guthrie Center, Panora, Bayard, Casey,
Perry, Waukee, Adel, Des Moines, Atlantic, Greenfield, Stuart,
Adair, Fontanelle, Winterset, Earlham, Indianola, Norwalk,
Carlisle, Corning, Creston, Osceola, Chariton, Bedford, Lenox,
New Market, Mount Ayr, Lamoni, and Leon

* VISIBILITY...1/2 mile to 1/4 mile or less.

* IMPACTS...Travel may be difficult at times due to the reduced
visibilities and possibility of slick spots on roadways,
bridges and sidewalks from freezing moisture deposits from the
dense fog.


A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

An area of dense fog has developed across portions of central and
southern Iowa along and west of Interstate 35. Visibilities have
been reduced to around one half mile or less in the dense fog.
Slick spots may also be possible due to freezing moisture deposits
on roadways, bridges and sidewalks. Please slow down, use low
beam headlights and use caution when driving this morning.
