...FIRE DANGER STATEMENT IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
Gusty west to southwest winds will occur across Southeast South
Carolina and Southeast Georgia today as a cold front moves across
the region. Wind gusts around 25 mph will combine with relative
humidity values to 20 to 30 percent and dry fuels to produce an
elevated fire danger today. Conditions will be such that any fires
could easily become out of control wildfires.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn. If you do, you are advised to use extreme caution.
