SOUTHEASTERN ORANGE COUNTY IN FLORIDA...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF CHRISTMAS...
OSCEOLA COUNTY IN FLORIDA...
THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...HOLOPAW...

* UNTIL 930 PM EST.

* AT 535 PM EST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING TO STREAM NORTHEAST ACROSS
CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST OSCEOLA COUNTY...SOUTHEAST ORANGE COUNTY AND
NORTHERN BREVARD COUNTY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF THREE TO FIVE INCHES
HAVE FALLEN ACROSS THESE AREAS TODAY WITH ADDITIONAL LOCALIZED
AMOUNTS OF TWO TO THREE INCHES POSSIBLE INTO THIS EVENING. THIS WILL
CAUSE FLOODING OF LOW-LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS INTO THE EVENING
HOURS.

* THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAD FALLEN FROM HOLOPAW TO CANAVERAL GROVES TO
PORT SAINT JOHN. THESE AREAS WILL CONTINUE TO SEE MODERATE TO HEAVY
RAIN INTO THE EVENING HOURS AND FLOODING OF ROADWAYS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS
AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND INTERSECTIONS. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY
ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER
LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO
HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING NOW OR IS IMMINENT.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MELBOURNE HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WATCH FOR A PORTION OF EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA...INCLUDING
THE FOLLOWING AREAS...COASTAL VOLUSIA...INLAND VOLUSIA...
NORTHERN BREVARD...NORTHERN LAKE...ORANGE...OSCEOLA...
SEMINOLE...SOUTHERN BREVARD AND SOUTHERN LAKE.

* THROUGH NOON WEDNESDAY

* DEEP SOUTHERLY MOISTURE AND A SLOWLY APPROACHING COLD FRONT
MOVING SOUTHEASTWARD TOWARD EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA WILL ALLOW
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP AND TRAIN OVER THE SAME
AREAS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF TWO TO FOUR
ADDITIONAL INCHES WITH SOME AREAS ALONG THE I-4 CORRIDOR SEEING
HIGHER AMOUNTS WHERE STORMS MOVE OVER THE SAME AREAS. THE THREAT
FOR LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE EARLY ON
WEDNESDAY AS THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY SLOWLY DROPS THROUGH CENTRAL
FLORIDA.

* ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL WOULD BRING POTENTIAL FLOODING TO
ROADWAYS...AND LOW-LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. AREAS THAT
HAVE RECEIVED HEAVY RAINFALL OVER THE PAST 24 HOURS WILL BE
ESPECIALLY VULNERABLE TO FLOODING SHOULD HEAVY RAIN DEVELOP IN
YOUR AREA. SMALLER CREEKS AND RIVERS MAY SEE RAPID RISES OF
WATER WITH CONTINUED HEAVY RAINFALL LEADING TO THE POTENTIAL
FOR FLOODING.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON
CURRENT FORECASTS.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE
FLOOD WARNINGS. THOSE LIVING IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE
PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLOODING DEVELOP.
