The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Lake Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening.
* WINDS...Southwest winds around 20 mph with frequent gusts around
* IMPACTS...Strong and gusty winds will produce rough and choppy
boating conditions on area lakes.
A Lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR ST. LUCIE...OKEECHOBEE...INDIAN
RIVER...MARTIN AND SOUTHEASTERN BREVARD COUNTIES UNTIL 700 PM EDT...
At 555 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a line of strong thunderstorms from southeastern Brevard County to
Okeechobee County. Movement of the line was east at 40 mph, however,
individual showers and thunderstorms were moving to the northeast at
45 to 50 mph.
Brief but intense wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph have been occurring
with these fast moving showers and brief storms, and will continue
to do so.
Locations impacted include...
Palm Bay, Port Saint Lucie, Vero Beach, Fort Pierce and Stuart.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
