* LOCATION...EASTERN SAN JUAN AND LA GARITA MOUNTAINS ABOVE
10000 FEET...AND THE SAWATCH AND MOSQUITO RANGES ABOVE 11000
FEET...INCLUDING WOLF CREEK AND MONARCH PASSES.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING PERIODS OF
MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW BEGINNING TONIGHT AND CONTINUING
THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...8 TO 18 INCHES ACROSS THE SAWATCH AND
MOSQUITO RANGES...WITH 1 TO 2 FEET FOR THE THE EASTERN SAN
JUAN MOUNTAINS.

* WIND...WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO
55 MPH ON MONDAY...BECOMING WEST 15 TO 30 MPH MONDAY NIGHT.

* IMPACT...ROADS WILL BECOME SNOWPACKED AND VISIBILITIES POOR IN
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL BE
LIKELY OVER THE MOUNTAIN PASSES AND AVALANCHE DANGER WILL
INCREASE AGAIN INTO TUESDAY.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW
