...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 6 PM MST MONDAY...

* TIMING...SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW BEGINS LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND
WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON. THE HEAVIEST SNOW IS
EXPECTED WITH FRONTAL PASSAGE TONIGHT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...10 TO 20 INCHES IN THE MOUNTAINS. 8 TO 14
INCHES ACROSS THE UPPER YAMPA RIVER BASIN.

* WINDS...WEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH ACROSS THE
MOUNTAINS.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BECOME CHALLENGING DUE TO POOR
VISIBILITY IN SNOW...FOG...AND BLOWING SNOW. INCLEMENT WINTER
WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL IMPACT MCCLURE...VAIL...AND RABBIT
EARS PASSES... AS WELL AS HIGHWAY 65 OVER THE GRAND MESA AND
HIGHWAY 50 OVER MONARCH PASS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. STRONG WINDS AND BLOWING SNOW ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...THE TOWN OF SILT AND AREAS WEST WILL SEE 1
TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW WHILE AREAS TO THE EAST CAN EXPECT 3 TO 6
INCHES.

* SNOW LEVEL...BEGINNING AROUND 6500 FEET THEN DROPPING TO THE
VALLEY FLOOR THIS EVENING.

* WINDS...WEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

* IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BECOME ICY AND SNOWPACKED DUE TO SNOW AND
BLOWING SNOW INCLUDING INTERSTATE 70.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW AND/OR
BLOWING SNOW WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
