...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING
THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

* LOCATION...The lower elevations of the Sangre De Cristo
Mountains...Wet Mountains and Teller county.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A strengthening Pacific storm system will
spread snow into the region late Tuesday evening...with the
heaviest falling Tuesday night and Wednesday.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...Snow accumulations of 1-2 feet with higher
amounts possible for the northeast facing slopes of the Sangre
De Cristo Mountains and Wet mountains. Teller county could see
a foot or more. Snowfall amounts are highly subject to change
depending on storm track.

* WIND...Northeast 15 to 30 mph.

* IMPACT...Deteriorating conditions are expected Tuesday evening
with roads becoming slick and snowpacked Tuesday night through
Wednesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow, sleet, or ice accumulations that may impact travel.

...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...

* LOCATION...Pikes Peak and the Sangre De Cristo Mountains above
11000 feet...and the Wets above 10000 feet.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A strengthening Pacific storm system will
spread snow into the higher peaks Tuesday afternoon...with the
heaviest falling Tuesday night through Wednesday.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...1 to 2 feet with higher amounts possible.

* WIND...Northeast 20 to 40 mph Tuesday night and Wednesday.

* IMPACT...Dangerous winter conditions will be likely due to
heavy snow and poor visibilities. Avalanche danger will
increase as another round of heavy snow accumulates on top of
previous snow pack.
