AT 224 PM PDT...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED OVER THE LAKE
FIRE BURN SCAR. RAIN HAD DECREASED IN INTENSITY BETWEEN 2:00 AND
2:15 PM...BUT MODERATE TO HEAVY SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE SAN
BERNARDINO MOUNTAINS THROUGH THE AFTERNOON...SOME OF WHICH MAY DRIFT
OVER THE BURN SCAR. FLASH FLOODING IS POSSIBLE THROUGH THE
AFTERNOON.

EARLIER THIS AFTERNOON CALTRANS AND FIRE OFFICIALS REPORTED 4 TO 5
INCHES OF MUD AND WATER BLOCKING ALL LANES ON HIGHWAY 38 NEAR THE
SOUTH FORK OF THE SANTA ANA RIVER.

* UNTIL 600 PM PDT

* AT 255 PM PDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING
HEAVY RAIN OVER BARSTOW-DAGGETT PROPER. THESE STORMS ARE NEARLY
STATIONARY. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED BETWEEN ONE-HALF TO ONE INCH
OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN WITH ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS LIKELY AS
THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE INCREASES OVER THE AREA. FLASH FLOODING FROM
RUNOFF IS EXPECTED DOWNSTREAM OF THESE AREAS.

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAD DECREASED IN COVERAGE AND
INTENSITY BETWEEN 2:00 AND 2:30 PM. HOWEVER...THUNDERSTORMS WILL
CONTINUE OVER THE SAN BERNARDINO MOUNTAINS AND THE HIGH DESERTS
THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.

RAIN GAUGES REPORTED 1.03" OF RAIN AT CONVERSE IN THE 2 HOURS ENDING
AT 2:30 PM. BIG BEAR LAKE REPORTED 0.32" DURING THIS SAME TIME
PERIOD.
