Ventura County Mountains-
Los Angeles County Mountains excluding the Santa Monica Range-
Including the cities of Lockwood Valley, Mount Pinos, Acton,
Mount Wilson, and Sandberg

* WHAT... SNOW...1 to 3 inches expected. Snow levels will begin
around 6000 feet, falling rapidly to between 1500 and 2500 feet
by early Monday morning and continuing through Monday night.
Areas of northwest to north winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50
mph and isolated higher gusts. Wind chill readings between -10
and 10 degrees.

* WHERE...Ventura County Mountains and Los Angeles County
Mountains excluding the Santa Monica Range Counties.

* WHEN...From 6 PM Sunday to 3 AM PST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
times. The Strongest winds will be through the I-5 corridor. The
highest snowfall amounts will occur on the north facing slopes.
There is the potential for 1 to 2 inches of snow on Interstate
5 near the Grapevine. Delays or closures on Interstate 5 are
possible Monday into Monday night due to accumulating snow, icy
road conditions, and strong winds. Other low elevation roadways
will be at risk for snow showers and icy road conditions as
well... these include Highways 2, 14, 33, and 39.


A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow and
strong winds will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving. The latest road conditions from CalTrans is available by
calling 1 800 4 2 7 7 6 2 3.
