* Winds and Timing...Areas of northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with
gusts to 60 mph will develop later this afternoon, then
continue through late tonight before diminishing.

* Impacts...Winds this strong may down trees and power lines,
causing property damage or power outages. Cross winds can make
driving difficult, especially for drivers of high profile
vehicles and vehicles towing trailers. Major roads that will
be affected include Interstate 5, and Highways 14 and 126.

with gusts to 45 mph will increase to 30 to 45 mph with gusts
to 65 mph this afternoon, then continue through late tonight
before diminishing. Winds will be strongest in western portions
of the valley and in the foothills.

* Impacts...Winds this strong may down trees and power lines,
causing property damage or power outages. Cross winds can make
driving difficult, especially for drivers of high profile
vehicles and vehicles towing trailers. Major road that will be
affected include Highways 14 and 138, especially near the
foothills. Patchy blowing dust will reduce visibilities to one
quarter mile or less at times.

early Friday morning, strongest below passes and canyons from
Malibu to the Hollywood Hills and on the Westside of Los
