...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT...

The Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of northern California, including the following
areas, Central Siskiyou County, North Central and Southeast
Siskiyou County, South Central Siskiyou County, and Western
Siskiyou County.

* Through late Monday night

* The heaviest rain will occur over far western Siskiyou county
as well as the Mount Shasta area.

* Heavy rain combined with snow melt may cause small streams to
flood. Some roads may become flooded near streams.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

High Wind Watch to a High Wind Warning...which is in effect from
1 AM to 4 PM PST Tuesday. A Wind Advisory has also been issued.
This Wind Advisory is in effect from 1 AM to 4 PM PST Tuesday.

* Winds and timing: South 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph. Winds
will diminish some Monday afternoon but will increase again,
potentially gusting to 60 mph Monday night into Tuesday morning.

* Locations in the advisory include: Much of the Shasta Valley,
including Montague and the areas around Weed.

* Locations in the Warning include: Weed, Interstate 5 from Weed
to Grenada, and Highway 97 northeast of Weed.

* Impacts: Travel may become difficult for lightweight and high
profile vehicles.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of
58 mph or more can lead to property damage. Travel will be
impacted, especially for high profile vehicles.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected with
higher gusts possible. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.

Advisory...which is in effect from 4 AM Monday to 7 PM PST
Tuesday.

* Winds and Timing: 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph through
Monday morning. After a brief break Monday afternoon and
evening, winds will strengthen again Monday night into Tuesday
morning.

* Locations include: Bonanza, Modoc Point, Macdoel, Dorris, and
portions of highways 140 and 97.

* Impacts: Travel will become difficult for lightweight and high
profile vehicles. Loose objects may be blown around.

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Winter Storm
Warning for Heavy Snow...which is in effect from 10 PM this
evening to 10 AM PST Tuesday.

* Snow accumulations...1 to 2 feet. Higher amounts above 6000
feet.

* Winds...South 20 to 30 mph with higher gusts, especially above
6000 feet.

* Elevation...Snow levels will vary between 5000 and 6000 feet
through Tuesday morning.

* Locations include: Mount Shasta Ski Park, Everitt Memorial
Highway.

* Impacts...Roadways above 5000 feet will become snow covered at
times and may become impassable, especially above 5500 feet.
Wind and snow may cause whiteout conditions.
