...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM PDT FRIDAY...

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
High Wind Warning, which is in effect until 9 AM PDT Friday. The
Wind Advisory is no longer in effect. The High Wind Watch is no
longer in effect.

* WINDS AND TIMING...Areas of northwest to north winds increasing
to 25 to 40 mph with gusts to 65 mph this afternoon and
continuing through early Friday morning. Isolated gusts to 75
mph are possible in wind prone locations. Winds will be
strongest through the Interstate 5 corridor and higher peaks.
Winds will likely weaken some but may remain gusty through early
Saturday while gradually turning offshore.

* Impacts....Gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially
for drivers of high profile vehicles. Major roads that will be
affected include Interstate 5 and Highway 14.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning means that damaging high winds of 58 mph or
greater are likely or imminent. Secure all loose outdoor
furniture in advance of the onset of strong winds. Monitor the
latest forecasts on NOAA Weather Radio or your favorite media
source.

Wind Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM PDT Thursday.

* WINDS AND TIMING...Areas of gusty northerly winds will increase
through this evening to 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph then
continue into Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially
for drivers of high profile vehicles. Major roads that will be
affected include Interstates 10, 710, and 605.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

When driving, use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty

* WINDS AND TIMING...Areas of northwest to north winds increasing
to 20 to 30 mph with gusts between 35 and 50 mph later this
afternoon and continue through early Friday morning. Strongest
winds are expected across the eastern portion of the Santa
Monica Mountains and will be widespread across the San Fernando
Valley. Gusty winds may continue through early Saturday while
turning offshore.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially
for drivers of high profile vehicles. Major roads that will be
affected include Interstates 5 and 405, as well as Highway 118.
Malibu, Kanan and Topanga Canyon Roads will also be affected.

will be possible this evening. Strongest winds should occur
below passes and canyons from Malibu to the Hollywood Hills.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially
for drivers of high profile vehicles. Major roads that will be
affected include Interstates 10 and 405 in West Los Angeles, and
Highway 1 from Malibu to Santa Monica.
