...FREEZE WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH
* TEMPERATURES...Minimum temperatures of 28 to 32 degrees for a
period of 3 to 6 hours. Some of the normally colder locations
will be as low as 26 degrees.
* TIMING...2 AM PST to 8 AM PST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Long durations of below freezing temperatures will
kill unprotected vegetation. Exposed water pipes could burst.
Pets and livestock are vulnerable to the extreme cold as well.
Agricultural interests should closely monitor minimum
temperature forecasts and make preparations to protect frost
and freeze sensitive vegetation.
A Freeze Watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible.

EVENING TO 10 AM PST FRIDAY...
* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow
accumulations ranging from a dusting to two inches. Westerly
winds will gust to 40 mph at times.
* WHERE...Kern County Mountains. Highways impacted include
Highway 58 through Tehachapi pass, Highways 178 and 155 as
well as Interstate 5 through the Grapevine including Tejon
* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 AM PST Friday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on icy, snow-covered roads and
travel delays tonight into Friday morning. Blowing snow will
reduce visibility in places.
