HIGH SURF WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM FRIDAY TO 2 AM
PST SUNDAY.

* SURF...SURF OF 10 TO 15 FEET TODAY WILL BUILD TO 20 TO 30 FEET
FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY. THE SURF WILL
SLOWLY DIMINISH SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...BUT WILL REMAIN ABOVE
HIGH SURF THRESHOLDS.

* IMPACTS...LARGE AND POWERFUL SURF WITH DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS.
BREAKING WAVES CAN CAUSE INJURY... WASH PEOPLE OFF BEACHES OR
ROCKS...AND CAPSIZE SMALL BOATS NEARSHORE. DAMAGE TO PIERS IS
POSSIBLE ON SATURDAY...AS WELL AS COASTAL FLOODING OF BEACH
PARKING LOTS AND WALKWAYS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF WARNING MEANS THAT LARGE AND BATTERING SURF COULD
DAMAGE COASTAL STRUCTURES AND WILL MAKE SWIMMING AND ROCK JETTIES
VERY DANGEROUS.

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF AND RIP CURRENTS WILL
MAKE SWIMMING AND ROCK JETTIES DANGEROUS.

REMEMBER...SWIM NEAR A LIFEGUARD. IF CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT
REMAIN CALM. DON'T FIGHT THE CURRENT. SWIM IN A DIRECTION
FOLLOWING THE SHORELINE. WHEN OUT OF THE CURRENT...SWIM BACK TO
SHORE. IF TIRED...FLOAT OR TREAD WATER UNTIL OUT OF THE RIP
CURRENT. IF UNABLE TO ESCAPE...FACE THE SHORE AND CALL OR WAVE
