* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 216, 217, 218, 219, 263,
264, AND 279.
* WIND...North winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph
through early evening. Local gusts of 50 mph will be possible
over higher elevations. Winds will gradually decrease overnight.
* HUMIDITY...Minimum humidity readings of 10 to 25 percent by late
this afternoon. Poor humidity recovery expected tonight through
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will have the potential to
spread rapidly. Outdoor burning or any activity that could
spark a fire is not recommended.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

...LAKE WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM PST SUNDAY FOR
The Lake Wind Advisory for Lake Tahoe is now in effect until
10 AM PST Sunday.
* Winds: East to Northeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* Wave Heights: 2 to 4 feet with highest waves on western shores.
* Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to
capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions
Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a
sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing
boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind.
