AND HIGH FIRE DANGER FOR THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER VALLEY AND
SOUTHWESTERN DESERTS OF ARIZONA...

The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a Red Flag
Warning for strong winds, low relative humidity and high fire
danger, which is in effect from noon MST /noon PDT/ to 7 PM MST
/7 PM PDT/ Tuesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...Arizona Fire Weather Zone 131 Yuma/Martinez Lake
and Vicinity/Lower Colorado River Valley AZ, Arizona Fire
Weather Zone 132 Southwest Deserts and California Fire Weather
Zone 231 Lower Colorado River Valley CA. This includes areas
west of Maricopa County, including Yuma and La Paz counties.

* WINDS...Northwest 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* TIMING...Tuesday afternoon.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 5 to 10 percent.

* IMPACTS...Fuels remain somewhat moist, though fire danger may
quickly become high Tuesday afternoon. These conditions combined
with low relative humidity and strong winds may lead to hazardous
fire weather conditions for a few hours.

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM MST Tuesday.

* TIMING...11 AM MST until 7 PM MST Tuesday.

* 20 FT WINDS...West to northwest 20 TO 30 mph with gusts between
40-45 mph. The strongest winds will be in Cochise county.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum relative humidity values of 13-16
percent will be realized in the afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop or are ongoing will have the
potential to spread rapidly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or are expected to develop. A
combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and dry
vegetation will create the potential for rapid and erratic fire
growth.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 7 PM MST TUESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM MST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Motorists of high profile vehicles should exercise
caution while driving. Sudden gusts of wind may cause motorists
to lose control of their vehicles. In addition...loose and
unsecured outdoor objects may be blown around.

* AFFECTED AREA...Cochise, Southern Graham, Southern Greenlee and
far Eastern Santa Cruz counties.

* TIMING...Winds will begin to increase Tuesday mid-morning, with
the strongest wind developing in the higher elevations late
Tuesday morning, then across the valley locations in the early
afternoon. Winds will diminish Tuesday evening.

* WINDS...Sustained west winds of 25 to 35 mph, with gusts of 45
mph becoming northwest in the late afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph or greater
are expected in the valleys...or 35 mph or greater above
5000 feet. Higher gusts are also likely. This could make driving
difficult...especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.
