ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT

RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE NORMALLY DRY WASHES TO RUN AND

OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER THE LAST FORTY FIVE MINUTES. SURFACE
STATIONS IN THE AREA ALSO CONFIRMING RADAR ESTIMATES WITH SEVERAL
STATIONS REPORTING HALF INCH RAINFALL TOTALS SO FAR. THIS WILL
CAUSE NORMALLY DRY WASHES TO BEGIN RUNNING AS WELL AS PONDING
OF WATER ON ROADWAYS AND LOW LYING AREAS.

CONTINUE ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA...WHERE SURFACE STATIONS
HAVE REPORTED OVER THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH SINCE 9 PM MST.

WATCH FOR LOCALIZED INTERSECTION AND NEIGHBORHOOD FLOODING...AS
WELL AS RUNNING OF NORMALLY DRY WASHES. EXPECT PONDED WATER ON
AREA ROADWAYS...MAKING FOR SLICK AND HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
