...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 11 PM MST THURSDAY...

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from noon to 11 PM MST Thursday.

* TIMING...Strong winds developing Thursday afternoon, peaking
during the late afternoon and early evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts from 40 to 55 mph.

* IMPACTS...Winds this strong can make travel difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles. Blowing dust could also
reduce visibility over the Little Colorado River valley including
Interstate 40 from just east of Flagstaff to near Holbrook.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph...or
gusts from 40 to 57 mph...are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult...especially for high profile vehicles.
Consider securing loose belongings on your property. Additional

Highways 160 and 191.

continue into Friday morning. The strongest winds are expected
late Thursday night just north of the White Mountains including
Springerville and Eagar.

* WINDS...Southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to 55 mph.

* IMPACTS...Winds this strong can make travel difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
