...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH
TUESDAY AFTERNOON ABOVE 6000 FEET...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN Flagstaff HAS ISSUED a Winter
Storm Watch...WHICH IS IN EFFECT from Monday morning through
Tuesday afternoon.

* TIMING...A shortwave trough will move across the area carrying
significant pacific moisture across the region Monday afternoon
through Tuesday. Snow levels will generally be around 5500-6500
feet for this event, with a slight increase as the event
develops due to the subtropical nature of the moisture source.
This will create the potential for significant snow accumulation
above 6000 feet across the Mountains of Yavapai County, the
Mogollon Rim and White Mountains from Monday afternoon through Tuesday.

* GENERAL EVENT TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...Current snowfall
forecast has storm totals around 8-12 inches across the Mogollon
Rim and White Mountains. Expect these totals to change as the
storm approaches for the most up to date information consult the
point specific forecast at: WEATHER.GOV/FLAGSTAFF.

* OTHER IMPACTS...Gusty winds will develop as the trough moves
across the area. This will cause reduced visibilities in blowing
and drifting snow at times during this event.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow and or ice accumulations and strong winds. These conditions
may impact travel. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
