THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL ARIZONA...ROUGHLY SOUTH AND
WEST OF A GRAND CANYON TO FLAGSTAFF LINE FOR AREAS WEST OF
FLAGSTAFF AND SOUTH OF THE I-40 CORRIDOR EAST OF FLAGSTAFF.

* FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON

* DEEP TROPICAL MOISTURE WILL MOVE INTO PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND
NORTHERN ARIZONA ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. WIDESPREAD AND
PROLONGED PERIODS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL WITH EMBEDDED
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED. THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR SOME STORMS
TO PRODUCE RAINFALL RATES GREATER THAN TWO INCHES PER HOUR.

* THE LATEST PRECIPITATION TOTALS FOR NORTHERN ARIZONA FROM
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY HAVE AMOUNTS FROM 1.5 TO
2.25 INCHES IN THE WHITE MOUNTAINS...EASTERN MOGOLLON
RIM...NORTHERN GILA COUNTY WITH LOWER AMOUNTS AWAY FROM THIS
AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT DEVELOPING CONDITIONS MAY LEAD TO
FLASH FLOODING WITHIN THE WATCH AREA.

PEOPLE...ESPECIALLY THOSE LOCATED ALONG AREA CREEKS...RIVERS OR
OTHER FLASH FLOOD PRONE AREAS...SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR LATER
FORECASTS.
