...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of CENTRAL ARKANSAS, NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS,
SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS, SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS, and WESTERN ARKANSAS,
including the following areas, in CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Conway,
Faulkner, Garland, Grant, Lonoke, Perry, Pulaski, Saline,
White, and Yell. In NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Cleburne,
Independence, Stone, and Van Buren. In SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS,
Bradley, Cleveland, and Jefferson. In SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS,
Calhoun, Clark, Dallas, Hot Spring, Ouachita, and Pike. In
WESTERN ARKANSAS, Montgomery, Polk, and Scott.

* Through Sunday morning

* Additional periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected
across the watch area through Sunday morning. Some of this
precipitation will be heavy. Additional rainfall amounts of two
to four inches are possible through Sunday morning.

* Low-lying and urban areas will be the first to flood. If you
have plans to camp across Arkansas this weekend, do not camp
in low-lying areas or near dry creek beds, and make sure you
have a way to receive weather warnings. Flash flooding will be
possible across portions of the Ouachita and Ozark Mountain
areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Fourche Lafave River Near Houston.
* from late Sunday night to Tuesday morning...Or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 3:30 PM Saturday the stage was 12.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise, and could get close to flood
stage early Monday morning. At this time, it is looking less likely, and the
river could end up cresting under flood stage early next week.
* Impacts at 25.0 feet...Agricultural lands along the Arkansas River
and up into the Fourche LaFave begin to flood. Equipment and
livestock should be moved to higher ground.
