...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING
THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of CENTRAL ARKANSAS, EASTERN ARKANSAS, SOUTHEAST
ARKANSAS, and SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS, including the following
areas, in CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Grant, Lonoke, and Prairie. In
EASTERN ARKANSAS, Monroe and Woodruff. In SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS,
Arkansas, Bradley, Cleveland, Desha, Drew, Jefferson, and
Lincoln. In SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS, Calhoun, Dallas, and Ouachita.

* From 7 PM CDT this evening through Friday afternoon

* Two to five inches of rain will be possible across the
southeast half of Arkansas through Saturday morning.

* There is a potential of more than five inches of rain in a
small portion of the watch area late tonight into Friday
morning. This is when the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy
will track into southern and eastern sections of the state.
The enhanced rainfall is expected along the track of the
system.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

The Flood Warning continues for
The White River At Clarendon.
* until Saturday afternoon...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10:00 AM Thursday the stage was 26.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage, or
26.0 feet by Friday morning. One to two inches of rain, associated with
tropical storm Cindy, is expected to fall into the White River Basin by
the end of the week. Please monitor this product for updates.
* Impacts at 26.0 feet...River flows in many side channels and creates
islands between the river and sloughs and creeks. Flooding of
cropland and timber is occurring. Portions of the National Wildlife
Refuge downstream of Clarendon flooding.
