The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of CENTRAL ARKANSAS, EASTERN
including the following areas, in CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Grant,
Lonoke, and Prairie. In EASTERN ARKANSAS, Monroe and Woodruff.
In SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS, Arkansas, Bradley, Cleveland, Desha,
Drew, Jefferson, and Lincoln. In SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS, Calhoun,
Dallas, and Ouachita.

* From this evening through Friday afternoon

* Two to five inches of rain will be possible across the southeast
half of Arkansas through Saturday morning.

* There is a potential of more than five inches of rain in a small
portion of the watch area late tonight into Friday morning. This
is when the remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy will track into
southern and eastern sections of the state. The enhanced
rainfall is expected along the track of the system.


A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
