Southwestern Lonoke County in central Arkansas...
Southern Faulkner County in central Arkansas...
North central Jefferson County in southeastern Arkansas...
Eastern Saline County in central Arkansas...
Pulaski County in central Arkansas...

* Until 1245 AM CDT.

* At 938 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
already fallen. Flash flooding is likely to occur.

Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area.


Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northwestern Lonoke County in central Arkansas...

* Until 245 AM CDT.

* At 1123 PM CDT, trained weather spotters and doppler radar
indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned
area. The heaviest rain has fallen southeast of Cabot...or from
south of Old Austin to Parnell...where rainfall amounts of 3 to
over 5 inches have fallen since around 7 pm. There have been
reports of flooding along Mt. Tabor Road southeast of Cabot. With
additional rainfall expected...flash flooding will likely continue.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

including the following areas, in CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Conway,
Faulkner, Garland, Grant, Lonoke, Perry, Pope, Pulaski,
Saline, White, and Yell. In NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Baxter,
Boone, Cleburne, Fulton, Independence, Izard, Marion, Newton,
Searcy, Sharp, Stone, and Van Buren. In SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS,
Jefferson. In SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS, Clark, Dallas, Hot Spring,
Ouachita, and Pike. In WESTERN ARKANSAS, Johnson, Logan,
Montgomery, Polk, and Scott.

* Through Sunday morning

* Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected across
the watch area through Sunday morning. Some of this
precipitation will be heavy. Storm total rainfall amounts of
four to six inches are expected through Sunday morning.

* Low-lying and urban areas will be the first to flood. If you
have plans to camp across Arkansas this weekend, do not camp
in low-lying areas or near dry creek beds, and make sure you
have a way to receive weather warnings. Flash flooding will be
likely in the terrain of the Ouachita and Ozark Mountain


A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
