...LAKE WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM
CDT THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Lake
Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 9 AM this morning to 8 PM
CDT this evening.

* EVENT...South winds will be elevated and produce wind
conditions.

* AREAS AFFECTED...Much of Arkansas.

* TIMING...By 9 AM CDT winds will become elevated and last to
earlier evening around 8 PM CDT.

* WINDS...South winds will reach 15 to 25 mph with some gusts to
30 to 35 mph.

* IMPACTS...Boaters on area lakes and rivers should use extra
caution due to the expected high winds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes, as well as some areas rivers. Small boats will be
especially prone to capsizing.
