* WIDESPREAD ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF AROUND HALF AN INCH IS
EXPECTED ACROSS CENTRAL ARKANSAS THROUGH THIS EVENING AS A COLD
FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE STATE. HOWEVER...THUNDERSTORMS MAY YIELD
LOCALIZED RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 1 INCH. ANY RAIN THAT
FALLS WILL IMMEDIATELY BECOME RUNOFF AND COULD LEAD TO FLASH
FLOODING.

* IN ADDITION...AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS ARE ALREADY FLOODING OR
NEAR BANK FULL. ANY ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL NOT BE ABLE TO
DRAIN INTO WATERWAYS...INCREASING THE THREAT FOR FLASH
FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Arkansas River At Toad Suck Lock And Dam Tailwater.
* until further notice...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* There is no current observed data. Estimated stage was 279.9 feet at 5:00 AM.
* Flood stage is 275.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will hold steady or very slowly fall through Sunday. The
river will then begin rising, and will rise to a second crest of 280.3 feet
Tuesday. Flows are estimated over 300,000 CFS and are expected to remain high
through the middle of next week. Please monitor the latest forecasts for any
updates.
* Impacts at 279.0 feet...More farmland in Perry County flooded from backwaters
up the Fourche La Fave River. Parking lot of the Lock and Dam flooded and
water over lock walls.
* Impacts at 280.0 feet...Portions of the Treasure Hills Subdivision
north of Conway may be flooded from backwaters of East Cadron
Creek. Several roads west of Mayflower including Jones Lane,
Easterwood Point, Sand Gap, Raney Pavillion, and Windsong Way
will be inundated.
* This flood crest will be just under half a foot higher than the crest Friday
May 29th, and the highest since May of 1990.
