The Flood Warning continues for
The Ouachita River At Thatcher L&D.
* until further notice...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9:30 AM Saturday the stage was 84.4 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 79.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will remain near 84.4 feet through this
afternoon as a very slow fall continues. With rainfall in the
forecast for much of the upcoming
week, heavy rainfall could slow the river's fall or even worsen
flooding conditions. Stay tuned for updated information in the
coming days.
* Impacts at 83.0 feet...Access to oil and gas rigs and to timber is
flooded. Calhoun County Road 131 is completely under water leading
to old Lock 8 river access.
* Impacts at 85.0 feet...There may be some County roads along the
river flooded, requiring lengthy detours. River is high and swift,
boaters should be very cautious. Access to many oil and gas rigs
will be by boat only. Levee gates should be closed.

The flood warning continues for
the Ouachita River At Felsenthal Lock and Dam.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 9:30 AM Saturday The stage was 82.3 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Flood stage is 70.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 82.1 feet
by tomorrow morning.
* Impact...at 83.0 feet...Expect long term flooding for several weeks
in the Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge. Travel becomes
difficult as all access roadways flood.
