The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a

* Flood Warning for
The Black River At Black Rock.
* from Friday morning until further notice...or until the warning is
cancelled.
* At 10:00 AM Wednesday the stage was 5.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Friday morning and continue to
rise to near 15.0 feet by late Friday night. Additional rainfall is
expected beyond the next 48 hours. Monitor latest forecasts for any
updates.
* Impacts at 14.0 feet...Minor flooding begins. Farm ground along east
bank begins to flood.

...Forecast flooding increased from Minor to Moderate severity...
The Flood Warning continues for
The Cache River Near Patterson.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 10:00 AM Wednesday the stage was 9.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 11.0 feet by
Saturday morning. Additional rainfall is expected beyond the next
48 hours. Continue to monitor latest forecasts for any updates.
* Impacts at 9.0 feet...Low swampy timberland along the river begins
to flood. Flood gates should be closed and equipment moved out of
the low grounds along the river and tributaries.
* Impacts at 10.0 feet...Pastureland and cropland not protected by
levees in Jackson and Woodruff counties affected. Water is deep
along the shoulders of State Highway 18 near Grubbs. Water over
portions of Woodruff County Road 775 north of State Highway 260.
* Impacts at 10.5 feet...Water deep over Woodruff County Road 775
north of HWY 260, and intersection of HWY 37 and HWY 18 east of
Grubbs. Water is encroaching on yards of homes on Pine Street in
Patterson. Many acres of cropland, pastures, and timber flooded in
Jackson and Woodruff counties.
* Impacts at 11.0 feet...Water near homes on Pine Street in Patterson.
Water deep over Woodruff County Road 775. Water around camps along
State Highways 14 and 18 in Jackson County. Many acres of cropland,
pastures, and timberland flooded in Craighead, Jackson, and
Woodruff counties. AGFC may close WMA inside Woodruff County for
deer hunting due to flooding.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of CENTRAL ARKANSAS, EASTERN ARKANSAS, NORTH CENTRAL
ARKANSAS, SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS, and WESTERN ARKANSAS, including
the following areas, in CENTRAL ARKANSAS, Faulkner, Garland,
Grant, Lonoke, Perry, Prairie, Pulaski, Saline, and White. In
EASTERN ARKANSAS, Jackson and Woodruff. In NORTH CENTRAL
ARKANSAS, Cleburne and Independence. In SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS,
Clark, Dallas, Hot Spring, Ouachita, and Pike. In WESTERN
ARKANSAS, Montgomery and Polk.

* Through late tonight

* Rain will continue through tonight and Thursday morning, and
will be heavy at times. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible.

* Rainfall amounts will average one to three inches through
tonight, with locally heavier amounts.

.PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for for high water
problems based on the current forecast of heavy rain.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
