...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions, areas of freezing rain, and high
winds expected. Travel will be very dangerous to impossible.
Expect damage to power lines and homes as well. Total snow
accumulations of 4 to 6 inches are expected. Winds will gust
from 50 to 90 mph.

* WHERE...Chukchi Sea Coast. The strongest winds will be from
Kivalina to Point Hope. South of Kivalina winds will be 50 mph.

* WHEN...9 AM today to 6 AM Wednesday. The strongest winds and
worst conditions will be on Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 90 mph will
cause whiteout conditions in blowing snow. Significant
drifting of the snow is likely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel extremely dangerous.

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions and high winds are occuring. Travel
will be very dangerous to impossible. Snow accumulations of 4
to 8 inches are expected. Freezing rain is possible. Winds
will gusts as high as 90 mph.

* WHERE...St Lawrence Island and Bering Strait Coast. The
strongest winds are expected late tonight through Tuesday
afternoon.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM Tuesday. The strongest winds are expected
late tonight through Tuesday afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds now gusting to 70 mph will increase
to 90 mph by late tonight. This will likely cause damage to
power lines and to buildings. Whiteout conditions in blowing
snow will continue through Tuesday. Large snow drifts will
form.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* LOCATION...Along the Coast from the the Yukon Delta to the
Nome.

* COASTAL FLOODING...Minor flooding of low lying areas is
possible.

* TIMING...Tuesday and Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...High water may push into low lying areas along the
coast such lagoons and rivers from the Yukon Delta to Nome. No
buildings are expected to flood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.

AKST WEDNESDAY...

* LOCATION...Along the Coast from the Bering Strait to Point
Hope.

* COASTAL FLOODING...Minor flooding of low lying areas is
possible.

* TIMING...Tuesday and Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...High water may push into low lying areas such as the
lagoons at Shishmaref, Deering, Kotzebue and Kivalina. Ice may
push onto the beach along the coasts. At Kotzebue, this could
impacts housing next to the lagoon, as well as dog lots on the
east side of town.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TO 9 PM AKST TUESDAY...

* LOCATION...Southwest facing shores at Gambell, Little Diomede,
and at Wales.

* COASTAL FLOODING...Is expected along southwest facing
coastlines.

* TIMING...Late tonight through Tuesday night.

* IMPACTS...At Gambell, sea water, sea ice and debris are
expected to push onshore and impact the runway. At Little
Diomede and Wales, ice is expected to pile up onshore and
minor flooding may occur. At Teller and Brevig Mission, ice
could push on to the beach but no flooding is expected. No
buildings are expected to flood in these areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Coastal Flood Warning means that rising sea water that causes
flooding is expected. Coastal residents in the warned area should
be alert for rising water and take actions to protect life and
property.

Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 50 mph will
cause areas of blowing and drifting snow with low visibility.
