ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AKDT THIS EVENING.

* LOCATION...EASTERN NORTON SOUND

* WAVES AND SURF...6 TO 8 FOOT WAVES OFF SHORE COMBINED WITH 35 KT
WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL CREATE HIGH SURF ALONG WEST FACING
COASTLINES IN EASTERN NORTON SOUND.

* TIMING...WIND AND WAVES WILL INCREASE THROUGH THE MORNING WITH
HIGH SURF EXPECTED TO DEVELOP BY LATE MORNING AND CONTINUE INTO
EARLY EVENING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT LOCALIZED BEACH EROSION IS
EXPECTED. PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN TO PROTECT PROPERTY.

...SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL AND HIGH RIVER LEVELS THIS WEEK...

HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED OVER THE WESTERN INTERIOR MONDAY AND
TUESDAY AS A STRONG WEATHER SYSTEM SWEEPS EAST ACROSS NORTHERN
ALASKA. A WIDESPREAD SWATH OF RAINFALL TOTALING 1 INCH OR MORE IS
FORECAST FROM THE NULATO HILLS EAST TO THE KUSKOKWIM MOUNTAINS
AND THE ALASKA RANGE. THE HEAVIEST RAIN WILL FALL OVER THE NULATO
HILLS AND THE WESTERN ALASKA RANGE WHERE 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IS
LIKELY. SOME LOCATIONS IN THE WESTERN ALASKA RANGE MAY SEE
RAINFALL IN EXCESS OF 2 INCHES.

RIVERS AND STREAMS IN THE WESTERN INTERIOR WILL RISE MONDAY
THROUGH WEDNESDAY DUE TO RUNOFF FROM THE RAINFALL. IN THE ALASKA
RANGE...SOME SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS MAY FLOW OVERBANK IN LOW
LYING AREAS. IN ADDITION...THE HEAVY RAIN MAY CAUSE ROCK AND
MUDSLIDES IN AREAS OF STEEP TERRAIN.
