* BLOWING SNOW...reducing visibility to less than one quarter
mile.

* WINDS...northeast to east 30 to 40 mph gusting near 60 mph.

* WIND CHILL VALUES...around 55 below.

* TIMING...Blizzard conditions continue through early this evening
and will tonight as winds and snow diminish.


* IMPACTS...Visibility will be very poor and snow will
accumulate into drifts. Whiteout conditions should be
expected. Travel and outdoor activities will be difficult.

* TIMING...Conditions will deteriorate this morning to near
whiteout then improve in the late evening as winds diminish.

* IMPACTS...Visibility will be very poor and snow will
accumulate into drifts. Whiteout conditions should be
expected. Travel and outdoor activities will be difficult.

The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for heavy snow, and local blizzard conditions
which is in effect until 6 AM AKST Friday. The Winter Weather
Advisory is no longer in effect.

* SNOW...8 to 14 inches.

* BLOWING SNOW...Reducing visibility to one half mile or less.

* WINDS...East 20 to 30 mph gusting to 50 mph.

* TIMING...Snow, heavy at times will continue through Friday
morning. Blowing snow will reduce visibility to one half mile
or less at times through Friday morning as winds continue.

* IMPACTS...Visibility may be greatly reduced. Travel and
outdoor activities will be difficult.
