* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Travel will be very
dangerous to impossible. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8
inches, with localized amounts up to 12 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Yukon Delta.

* WHEN...6 AM Wednesday to noon Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 65 mph will
cause whiteout conditions in blowing snow. Significant
drifting of the snow is likely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel extremely dangerous.

WEDNESDAY.

* LOCATION...KUSKOKWIM BAY.

* COASTAL FLOODING...ROUGH SURF CONDITIONS WILL CAUSE MINOR BEACH
EROSION. WATER LEVELS WILL RISE TO 2 TO 4 FEET ABOVE THE MAXIMUM
ASTRONOMICAL TIDE LEVEL AND MAY CAUSE MINOR FLOODING IN LOW
LYING AREAS.

* TIMING...4 PM TO 8 PM AKST WEDNESDAY.

* IMPACTS...MINOR INUNDATION OF LOW-LYING COASTAL AREAS.

* COASTAL FLOODING...STORM SURGE AND TIDES WILL COMBINE TO RAISE
SEA LEVELS 10 TO 11 FEET NEAR KOTLIK AND 5 TO 6 FEET ELSEWHERE
ABOVE NORMAL. EXPECT ADDITIONAL WAVE RUN UP ALONG EXPOSED
COASTLINES.

* TIMING...SOUTHWEST WINDS 30 TO 40 MPH WILL PERSIST INTO THE
EVENING BEFORE DIMINISHING. HIGHEST WATER LEVELS WILL BE LATE
THIS EVENING THROUGH EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...MAJOR EROSION IS POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM. IN
KOTLIK...BUILDINGS AND HOMES ON THE RIVER SIDE OF TOWN WILL BE
INUNDATED FROM WATER BACKED UP INTO THE KOTLIK RIVER.
ELSEWHERE...WATER WILL BE BACKED UP IN THE YUKON RIVER AND STORM
SURGE WILL PUSH WATER INTO LOW LYING AREAS. RESIDENTS SHOULD
PREPARE NOW BY MOVING BOATS AND OTHER VALUABLES WELL ABOVE THE
NORMAL HIGH TIDE LINE.

RUN UP ALONG EXPOSED COASTLINES.

* TIMING...WEST TO SOUTHWEST 25 TO 40 MPH WILL PERSIST INTO
TONIGHT BEFORE DIMINISHING WEDNESDAY MORNING. HIGHEST WATER
LEVELS ARE EXPECTED THIS EVENING INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...MAJOR EROSION IS EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM ALONG THE
COAST. IN UNALAKLEET...THE AREA FROM THE ALASKA COMMERCIAL STORE
TO THE UNALAKLEET RIVER ON THE LAGOON SIDE OF MAIN STREET WILL
BE INUNDATED. LOW LYING AREAS AROUND THE AIRPORT AND ALONG THE
LAGOON WILL SEE FLOODING. IN STEBBINS...THE FIRST TWO ROWS OF
HOMES ON THE EAST SIDE OF TOWN (LAGOON SIDE) WILL SEE WATER
UNDER THEM. THE ROAD LEADING OUT OF STEBBINS NEAR THE LAGOON
WILL BE FLOODED. WAVE RUNUP ON THE BEACH SIDE OF TOWN IS
EXPECTED. IN SHAKTOOLIK...INUNDATION OF SALT WATER INTO FRESH
WATER SOURCE AND FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS AROUND THE AIRPORT
IS EXPECTED. IN ST MICHAEL...WATER LEVELS MAY BE HIGH ENOUGH TO
IMPACT ROAD TO BARGE LANDING AND SOME STRUCTURES. RESIDENTS
SHOULD PREPARE BY MOVING VALUABLES WELL ABOVE THE NORMAL HIGH
TIDE LINE.
