...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AKST
WEDNESDAY...

* LOCATION...THE CHUKCHI SEA COAST.

* COASTAL FLOODING...STORM SURGE AND TIDES WILL COMBINE TO RAISE
SEA LEVELS 4 TO 6 FEET ABOVE NORMAL HIGH TIDE LINE. EXPECT
ADDITIONAL WAVE RUN UP ALONG EXPOSED COASTLINES.

* TIMING...WEST TO SOUTHWEST 40 TO 50 MPH WILL PERSIST INTO
EARLY WEDNESDAY BEFORE DIMINISHING. HIGHEST WATER LEVELS WILL
BE LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...MAJOR EROSION IS EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM. IN
KIVALINA, WATER WILL BE PUSHED INTO THE LAGOON AND CAUSE
FLOODING ON THE LAGOON SIDE OF CHANNEL STREET WITH SIGNIFICANT
WAVE RUNUP AND EROSION ALONG THE BEACH. IN SHISHMAREF,
FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS AND ROAD TO THE DUMP MAY BE
IMPACTED. RESIDENTS SHOULD PREPARE BY MOVING BOATS AND OTHER
VALUABLES WILL ABOVE THE NORMAL HIGH TIDE LINE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT RISING SEA WATER THAT CAUSES
FLOODING IS EXPECTED. COASTAL RESIDENTS IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD
BE ALERT FOR RISING WATER AND TAKE ACTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND
PROPERTY.
