Weather Underground

To enhance our interactive map and weather forecasts, we’ve partnered with Weather Underground to include the data from their network of over 34,000 Personal Weather Stations (PWS). By partnering with Weather Underground, we can now bring you the weather forecasts you love, but with new hyper-local weather information, forecasts, webcams, and more.

What is a PWS?
Personal Weather Stations (PWS) are individually-owned outdoor instruments that measure weather conditions. Basic stations may include a thermometer, barometer, anemometer, hygrometer, and wind vanes. More sophisticated stations may also measure UV index, leaf wetness, soil moisture and temperature, and water temperature. Weather Underground’s network collects real-time data from these personal weather stations, offering hyper-local weather data and webcams. Learn More
